 FAQ

  • What is Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?
Plasma Fibroblast is a non-invasive, revolutionary skin tightening treatment for the face, neck and body. This innovative treatment has been popular in Europe for many, many years, and has finally made its way to American just a few years ago. Plasma Fibroblast will minimize wrinkles, stretch marks, surgical scars, acne scars, shrink large pores, lighten pigmentation and tighten skin laxity.
  • How does Plasma Fibroblast Treatment work?
A FDA approved device called: Plamere Pen is used. The Plamere Pen is fitted with a cooper probe (a new and sterile probe per client), which will transfer energy to the skin by utilizing the voltage in the air between the probe, and the skin, which will generate a plasma carbon crust “dot”. The transfer of energy to the skin takes place only when the probe has a distance of approximately 0.5 mm to the skin, which means it does not come into direct contact with the skin. There is no blood involved. The technician places the plasma carbon crust “dots” in a specific pattern depending on what the client is trying to achieve.
  • What areas can be treated with Plasma?
Forehead, Upper Eyelids, Crow’s Feet, Lower Eyelids, Nose, Cheeks, Upper Lip, Smile Lines, Lower Lip, Chin, Jawline. Acne Scars. Ear Lobes. Neck. Chest. Abdomen. Arms. Hands. Inner Thighs. Knees. Surgical scars. Skin pigmentation. Age spots on face or hands. Sun damage. Stretch marks. Skin tags. Moles.
  • How many treatments will I need?
In some cases 1 treatment is suitable. However, every client’s goals are different and depending on the area of concern, 2 treatments are usually best. Retreating can be safely done at or after 8 weeks.
  • Is the procedure painful?
Numbing cream is applied to the area for 30 to 45mins. Most of the treatment is virtually painless, there are some areas that can be a little more sensitive than others and it also depends on your pain threshold. You can experience some mild heat or slight stinging sensation.
  • Will there be downtime?
The downtime is minimal, about 4 to 5 days of healing. Treatment day is NOT healing day. You can also experience significant swelling in the area treated, particularly in the eye area. The swelling will diminish over a 3 day period and the carbon crust “dots” that occur are gone on average between 5-7 days. Once the dots have fallen off the tissue will be a blush pink for a week or two. Makeup can be worn to even out the skin tone.
  • When will I see visible results?
The positive effect of the Plasma Fibroblast treatment is instant and visible improvement, but full results will be noticeable at 8 weeks with continuing improvement up to 12 weeks.
  • How long will the results last?
Results are permanent, but remember we can’t stop the aging process. Depending on the client’s life-style choices, overall health, diet, sun exposure, alcohol consumption, smoking, medication usage, and skincare routine… these all have an effect on the lasting, final results.
  • Are there any risks/side effects?
Plasma Fibroblast has been shown to be a safe treatment due to its non-invasive nature. However, clients must be very careful not to pick at the carbon crust “dots”, picking will cause possible infection and scarring. No sun exposure to the treated area for 2 months. Clients must protect the area with SPF 50+ and wear a hat, mask, and/or sunglasses to prevent hyper-pigmentation.
  • Am I suitable or not for Plasma treatment?
Plasma Fibroblast is a very safe and effective treatment, however is not suitable for everyone. There are certain medical conditions and skin types which cannot be treated. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot be treatment. If you have a Pacemaker or any other medical device with an electrical current, you cannot be treated. Malignancy and chemotherapy in the past 3 years. If you are susceptible to hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation, you cannot be treated. Stop using retinol, retin-a, acids, or any harsh skincare products. No direct sun exposure/tanning, no filler, botox, chemical peels or micro-needling at least 2 weeks before to the area being treated.

A minimum of 2 hours will be allocated. This allows for adequate numbing time (30-45 mins), photos and signing consents. Depending on the area(s) of the face and/or body, the treatment can take between 60 minutes to a few hours depending on the area(s) size.
  • Is there any healing skincare, post guidelines required?"
YES. You will be given aftercare guideline instructions and gentle healing skincare to use during your next 7-14 days. It is critical that you follow the instructions for best results. Complications or negative effects will not be caused by the device (and highly unlikely by the technician) but more likely as a result of failure in complying with aftercare guidelines and instructions.
